We are delighted to award the 2021 ISRA research grant to Dr. Aisling Ni Eochagain and Dr. Aneurin Moorthy for a very promising project investigating the role of ESP block in thoracic surgery.

The Irish Society of Regional Anaesthesia (ISRA) is proud to announce a new grant with the aim of supporting regional anaesthesia research in Ireland.

The annual ISRA grant of €1,000 is open to all ISRA members and can be awarded for a variety of purposes including (but not limited to) prospective research, travel expenses to present research and open access publishing fees.

The grant should be used for direct costs such as equipment, materials, travel costs, publishing fees etc.

In order for your work to be eligible for inclusion it should be in the field of regional anaesthesia and meet the following criteria:

The publication of the research project should state that it was sponsored by an ISRA Research Grant.

The successful applicant will be required to produce further documentation regarding research progress from their supervisor or receipts for travel or publication fees on awarding of the grant.
