ISRA Foundation Course – Letterkenny University Hospital

The 2026 ISRA Foundation Course at Letterkenny University Hospital provided a full day of structured teaching on the core principles of regional anaesthesia, with small-group ultrasound scanning and needling practice. It was held in the hospital's Postgraduate Centre.

Programme

Axillary, femoral, adductor canal and popliteal blocks were covered in three ultrasound sessions: the axilla, the front of the thigh (femoral and adductor canal) and the back of the thigh (popliteal).
